Brixham is a working seaside town with narrow streets and quaint lanes, situated around a beautiful harbour. When you fancy a break from exploring, Brixham has a range of cafes and restaurants with stunning views of the harbour and surrounding areas. As Brixham is a fishing port it is easy to find a restaurant that specialises in fresh fish and you can regularly find the ‘catch of the day’ being served. This property is set in an ideal location close to local beaches and lovely scenic walks. You don't need a car to access some beautiful places.

The town has three supermarkets that are five minutes away from Rose Cottage, fruit and vegetable and butchers, gift shops, art galleries, camera shop (Mifsuds) even a vinyl record shop. You can buy fresh fish from the market, or Steph's fish shop. There are some great charity shops, an arcade, and you can do a day trip mackerel fishing, or Dolphin watching. There are some great National Trust Properties, Greenaways, Agatha Christie's old mansion, Colyton Fish Acre, the Steam Railway, the Ferry to Dartmouth, Walking on Dartmoor. The town has a lively theatre with shows, two museums, and an opera house.
